We had the pleasure of interviewing the infamous sex columnist, author, and host of “Morning sex with the Mominatrix,” Kristen Chase, who brings eye-popping sex advice to droopy-eyed parents everywhere. (Caveat–we recorded this remotely and the sound quality is less than ideal–work with us people!) CLICK TO PLAY EPISODE.
We asked her about her show, Morning Sex with the Mominatrix, as well as how she keeps the fire lit with her own husband. Turns out absence—and getting rid of the yoga pants–makes the wife more horny–how bout them apples?
She also gives us some great tips on how moms and dads can get out of the rut and get naughty.
-Steph and Lauren
PS Her new book can be pre-ordered (do it now before you get too tired or something!) and comes out in January, 2010. It gives moms everywhere permission to exchange their mommy jeans for something just a bit more, um . . . flattering. Good moms can be sexy mamas with just a little mominatrix training! It’s less about learning the latest and greatest blow job technique and more about figuring out how to make a sexual relationship work when the batteries from your vibrator are now powering your baby monitor and the last orgasm you had was when your baby slept four hours in a row.

CLICK HERE TO PLAY THE EPISODE and learn what tiny distance may affect the way a woman orgasms.
Dear Lady Brain,
I just found an article that says the distance between your clitoris and your vagina can affect your ability to have orgasms. Is this true?
Dear Bill,
We read the article you sent us and think that while there may be some merit to this, since every woman is built differently and their ability to orgasm is different in different situations–but that there can be a TON of factors that are going to determine how well it works out in the end…We could not find anything that told us whether this experiment meant that based on a woman’s measurement, women can or cannot have a vaginal orgasm during intercourse, or a clitoral orgasm during intercourse.
SO it doesn’t let the guys off the hook! There’s lots of stuff you can do to work around this. Listen in for more on this topic!

According to a study published recently by WebMD, “the health benefits of sex extend way beyond the bedroom.” According to the study this includes headaches, hangovers and possibly heart health! In this episode we share the compelling evidence for sex and your health, and propose some futuristic alternatives.
Plus..we learned about making a “love list,” from one of our listeners–write down the 5 or 10 things you love about your partner and show it to them. It should make them happy and better yet–they may return the favor! Take a listen to hear how it works…

While doing research on how much we make love vs how much we chase it, we came across this article on time.com.
In it, they review a book written by Michele Weiner Davis, called The Sex-Starved Wife. What to Do When He’s Lost Desire. It covers “the unique challenges for women when they’re the more highly sexed spouse.” I guess it’s not the kind of thing you’d read on the subway–but perhaps in a bar? Not.
The author also has a website.
We wonder if there will be a sequel for the sex-starved hubbies out there! (Perhaps it can be found in The Sex-Starved Marriage book Michele Weiner Davis has also written!).
