Ah how the holidays bring out  our naturally nurturing personalities! We and the kids recently had the pleasure of attending a safe and bright wreath-making party hosted by Underwriters Laboratories (UL)–the folks who certify the safety of lighting and other products. We wrapped the wreaths in UL certified lighting and frankly never felt safer–or merrier! Even the scissors we used to cut the ribbon had rounded edges.

Recognize it?

UL is an independent product safety certification organization that has been testing products and writing Standards for Safety for over a century so you know they know their stuff. They’ve just released the standards for LED lights too. When you purchase lighting, make sure you’re only buying items with UL certification on them. Seriously, it’s not worth going any other way, just to save a couple of bucks!
